2016-2019 Western MA Nursing Collaborative Strategic Plan
It is our pleasure to present to you the 2016-2019 Strategic Plan of the Western Massachusetts Nursing Collaborative, an initiative of the Healthcare Workforce Partnership of Western Massachusetts and it managing partner the Regional Employment Board of Hampden County, Inc.
Healthcare is a critical industry sector in Western Massachusetts. In order to continue to deliver high quality, affordable healthcare, the sector needs to remain innovative, ensure a technologically competent incumbent workforce, and develop a system to ensure a sustainable pipeline of qualified, properly licensed/credentialed new talent. Our 2016-2019 Strategic Plan is an aggressive and thoughtful agenda to ensure that high quality healthcare is provided by a well-trained, diverse, and culturally aware workforce.
The Strategic Plan is grounded in the REB’s commitment to use labor market data to inform decision making, drive sector development across all service provider categories, create innovative and replicable workforce development practices, develop flexible and focused career pathways for incumbent healthcare professionals, and ensure new pipeline talent is available and deployed in high demand healthcare occupations.
