Acceptance to the ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) and PN (Practical Nurse Certificate) programs at Holyoke Community College is competitive and space is limited in each program. Students who successfully complete the ASN program are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN exam to become a Registered Nurse (RN). Students completing the PN program are eligible to take the NCLEX-PN exam to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

The deadline to apply each year is February 1. There are requirements that must be met prior to applying to either program. To learn more about these programs and the respective requirements, it is required that you attend a nursing information session prior to February 1 and no more than one year ago. Each session lasts approximately one hour and is conducted by a member of the Division of Health Sciences at HCC. Late arrivals may not be admitted to the information session, and will need to register for a future information session.

Information sessions are held on Thursdays in Room 101A in the new Center for Health Education (CHE), 404 Jarvis Ave. Register here.
