Fuel Assistance
If you need help paying for home heating fuel, contact United Way’s Mass 2-1-1 line (just call 211), or one of the agencies below.
These agencies run the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) program for different areas in Western Massachusetts. This program allows them to make payments to the company who supplies your heat (such as the oil, gas or electric company), or if heat is included in the rent, they will make a direct payment to you.
Some of these agencies also provide weatherization services to help make sure that your home is energy-efficient.
