Holyoke Works and Holyoke Community College are offering classes for non-native speakers of English to improve language and math skills, and prepare to pass the MA Nurse Aide Certification Test and enter employment as a nurse aide or home health aide at no cost.

English as a Second Language (ESL) or English for Speakers of a Second Language (ESOL) are two common names for programs that can help you learn basic English

Learn about  the healthcare industry  and improve you English Language Skills in Adult Basic Education programs.

If you are an immigrant or do not speak English as a first language, you may need special help.

There are a number of local English as a Second Language (ESL) programs to help you learn English basics. You can call 211 to speak to someone in your language who can help you find a program or other services.
